Giving Tuesday

Of late, we have all seen an intense media focus on the ongoing sexual violence in our society. Women and men have come bravely forward to publicly share their stories of the terrible abuses and injustice they have been subjected to by trusted family members, employers, co-workers, classmates, acquaintances, coaches, priests, strangers, and others. Often these heartbreaking stories do not reach the light of day until years afterwards. These revelations makes believing and supporting survivors more critical than ever.

Every 98 seconds an American is sexually assaulted, and every 11 minutes that person is a child. Sexual violence affects nearly every family in America. Sexual assault is still the most underreported crime in America. It is time that we let victims know that we believe them and that we support them.
